Alluminum Intake Installation!

August 3rd 2006 my engine developed a leak on the intake manifold gasket to cylinder head area. After getting a pressure tester and locating the leaki was forced to remove the intake and replace the felpro 1250 intake gaskets.

Gasket Remover and RTV Sealant are both required to clean off the old gasket material.
Upper Intake Plenum has been removed and gaskets ready to be cleaned up.
Upper Intake gasket side also ready for cleaning.
The new felpro intake gaskets
RTV applied to the water ports.
Cylinder Head to Lower intake Gasket installed and ready on the passanger side.
Buttoned Up The Lower Intake and Installed all the Fuel Components back into there home.
Hooking Up All the Injector harnesses and Fuel pressure regulator.
The Box From my new alluminum radiator for the mustang!
Here is the factory radiator after the fan was removed from it.
The Pusher fan i had installed to aid the old radiator in cooling the car.
Strange looking shape the factory radiator is. Never realized the shape was so off square.
Picture of the new alluminum radiator unpacked from the box.
Comparison of the core size of the two radiators. The new one is about 2.5 times the thickness Along with much larger tanks.
All the old radiator parts have been removed and the ugly side of my bumper is exposed.
Another shot of the ugly underside of my radiator area.
Its been cleaned up and the new rad is installed and ready for plumbing.
Looking in from the front of the car you can see the massive alluminum radiator.
I ended up having to make some feet to move the radiator forward to clear the abs unit.
The 2nd leg i built out of a couple angle brackets.
Ready for the radiator hoses and coolant.
Hoses are installed and the radiator is ready for filling
Fan shrowd after it was cleaned up. That concludes the radiator install and intake gasket replacement. It was an excellent learning experience!

The car runs at the thermostat temperature using the Flexilite DCC Fan Controller. This little gadget allows you to set the fan turn on points. One of the best upgradres i have added to my cooling system.
