Driver Side Header Flipped Over and Welded Vband onto The End of the Header after cutting off the ball flange.
Here is Vic and I Trying To figure out where the other parts are going to go.
After picking our route and spacing for the waste gate we decided it was best to run the wastegate back to the exhaust its a street car.
The 1 1/2" Ubend Pipe we started cutting and welding.
Here is the Wastegate mounted on the cross over pipe in place of the stock coolant overflow bottle. Its a 46mm Ebay Wastegate.
Looking Down on the Turbo Oil Return, we cut a hole into the frame rail of the car and ran it directly to the oil pan.
Now the wastegate pipe has been tacked togather and marked out onto the 3" downpipe.
After scribing the hole and cutting it slightly smaller than we needed we test fit it again.
The Flex Coupler has shown up now and we completed the cross over section and merged it into the passanger header.
Close up of the merged mandrel pip with the wastegate mounted.
One of the hardest parts of pipe to make was the merged section from the round to the t4 flange. here is a good picture of the pipe.
Going from 3.5" Downpipe to 3" and merging in the wastegate pipe. Vic is a dang fine welder. This was his first try at this type of stuff.
The Turbo is all mocked up and tacked in place the final welds are getting ready to be done.
Starting on the cold side we made a couple brackets up and mounted the 3.5" Treadstone intercooler into its new home.
Oil Supply For the Turbo and Mechanical Oil Pressure gage are plumbed in.
Downpipe is getting prepared for the final welds on the wastegate pipe.
Looking inside the downpipe look at the nice smooth transition.
Vic sparking up his Mig welder and finishing up the final welds.
Bit of cleaning and grinding on the pipes.
Here is our downpipe after it was finish welded and ground down.
Lots of clearance from the crank and swaybar everything is working out well for us.
Some more welding being done by Vic Kermode. If you need some welding done on your car CALL HIM! if you are in the Edmonton area.
The underside of the car with the 3" exhaust pipe going in place.
Here is the passanger side header with the new parts of the turbo system added to it.
The finished Downpipe ready for paint.
A Picture of my intercooler before we installed it.
Here is the Oil Adapter we used to move the oil filter out of the way so we could flip the headers over.
Cold side Piping and blow off valve.
The Hole the interooler will go in.
My old Powerdyne Blower.
The engine with the blower removed and in its only Naturally asperated form.
