Ford Racing - Upper Control Arms for Mustangs Twice as still as the stock control arms and bushings!

Ford Racing Upper Control Arms! Contact your local Ford Dealer for a set! Price range $75-$85.00 USD They look identical but when you feel the bushings you will see what's changed.
Using a 1/2 inch breaker bar i loosened up the 4 bolts (3/4") holding the control arms in place. I did not remove the actual bolt until i had the jack in place.
Here is the bushing tool i purchased from MM Racing it allows you to remove the axle bushings and press your new firmer bushings in place.
MM has fantastic instructions follow them to remove your bushings. I was covered in Anti Seize compound when i was done.
At last that nasty bushing will come out and make you feel all warm and fuzzy!
Clean the old hole with some wd40 and get all the dirt and grime out of the hole. It will make it easier to press your new bushing in.
Here are the tools and directions laid out in my work area.
The new bushings are pressed into the ax el housing.
Now you can place your new control arms in place, i put the bolts back in but did not torque them until i was done both sides.
Using 4 Jack stands that i had set up for installing the drive shaft safety loop. It was a good time to tackle these control arms.
There is nothing left of my original suspension now front and rear.
Here is the control arms all finished
A quick shot of the front end while i had it in the air.

After reading forums and product reviews, it seems the best solution for a street driven / hot rod mustang is the Ford Racing Upper Control Arms. The price is very reasonable, the performance reviews seem to indicate overall satisfaction. Ride quality isn't going to suffer to much.

Summit Racing had good pricing on these. I purchased mine from Stang Suspension due to the fact i was ordering other parts at the same time. I also got a set of new busing's ( much firmer ) than the stock ones that are in the ax el housing.

Changing these bushings, replacing the control arms, painting them etc took me about 6 hrs of time. I am rather slow but these bushings cant be damaged or you will be doing it again! Take care when working on a vehicle in the air at home!
